Prickly Pear Jam

If you’re from the Southwest, you already know what a treat this fruit is. And if you’ve never tried prickly pear before… well, you’re in for an even bigger one.

Also known as cactus fruit, prickly pears grow atop the flat pads of the prickly pear cactus and are found all over the southwestern U.S. and Mexico. Available in both red and green varieties, their flavor lands somewhere between berries and aloe—sweet, mellow, and totally unique.

Our jam is a smooth, vibrant spread made from hand-selected red prickly pears. It’s got a bold, exotic flavor and a gorgeous ruby color that makes anything you spoon it onto look (and taste) extra special. We cook it down with pure cane sugar and a bit of citrus pectin to get that perfect spoonable texture.

Spread it on toast, pair it with soft cheese, or swirl it into desserts for a wild little twist.
