Although we usually wait for a number of requests to try something new, we had a young lady ask for a lavender jelly a few craft fairs ago. The request resonated with images of tea service and scones, so it wasn't long before we were locating food grade dried lavender flowers to play around with.
Our delicious lavender jelly is an intense lavender experience packed with the added texture of the lavender flowers and a hint of citrus to round it out.
Our recipe uses only dried lavender flowers, pure cane sugar, a little citrus pectin to aid in gelling and a generous splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice for a little zing to the flavor in this magical combination.
