The holiday season is the best time of year for many and I'm no exception. Although someone frowned upon to have your Christmas tree up after the middle of January, no one is going to take my chai tea away anytime during the year. It's these spices that somehow remind of me fall leading into winter and the holidays that got us wanting to play around with a new flavor to debut out of this last winter's citrus harvest.
We had a short taste panel for this flavor, but It was a green-light-all-the-way reaction, so we are pleased to bring you our latest addition to our citrus jam line-up, Orange Chai Jam.
Our delicious jam starts with fresh squeezed mandarin oranges making sure to leave all the pulp for texture. Blend that up with some pure cane sugar, a little citrus pectin for added gelling, a special blend of chai spices that include ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, vanilla, allspice and cloves and a generous splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice for a little zing to the flavor in this magically sweet and tart combination.
